eLearning Snow Day Directions

eLearning Day 1:

Happy Snow Day!!!!

The following information outlines what you need to do for the day. You need to complete 5 hours worth of work. Be sure to complete reading and math first, and then move onto other areas. I’ll check in on various applications to monitor your progress. If you have any questions regarding an assignment today, I will be available through email.

When you have completed 5 hours worth of work, have your parent email me stating so.

Reading

  • Draw a picture of your favorite part of the story. Write 2 or more sentences describing it.

  • Go on the Superkids app. Pick and read two stories.

  • Play the Superkids games for approximately 15 minutes.

  • Use your iPad camera, walk around your house, and take pictures of things that start with “T” like Tic and “F” like Frits.

Math

  • Watch the video and count to 100 by ones. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbHobZOKY5w&t=5s

  • Watch the video and count to 100 by tens. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7stosHbZZZg

  • Take out a piece of paper and write the numbers 0-100, or as high as you can get.

  • See how high you can go!

  • Open up the silverware drawer. Count how many spoons and forks there are.

  • Bonus:

  • Which one do you have more of?

  • How many more do you have?

  • Go on the ST Math app and work for approximately 15 min.

  • Don’t forget to back out until you see the blue screen when you are finished!

Science

  • Draw and label the different parts of a penguin.

Social Studies

  • Draw all the people in your family, pets too.

  • Label every picture with a name.

  • Using your iPad take a video of your drawing telling us about all the people in your family. Tell what you like to do together.
